Types of Reviews

Basic information and resources on the different types of literature reviews in research.

Basic Information about Meta-Analyses

Meta-analyses are statistical models that can represent the data of two or more studies collected as part of a systematic review. A meta-analysis is not necessary to conduct a successful systematic review and may not be appropriate for all types of data.

Conducting a Meta-Analysis

Dykes Library Research and Learning Services does not assist with conducting meta-analysis of data collected in reviews.

If you are interested in having a meta-analysis as part of your review the library recommends scheduling an initial consultation with the Biostatistics and Data Science Department to determine your statistical modelling need. Note - after the first consultation, the BaDS consultations are fee based.
