Creating your personal account in Embase

As an Elsevier product, you only need to create an account with Embase if you haven’t already done so with one of their other databases including ScienceDirect, ClinicalKey, or Mendelay.

Follow these steps to set up an Elsevier account.

  1. Click on the Embase link above to access Embase and authenticate as a KUMC affiliate.
  2. Click on Register in the top right corner of the screen.

  1. Now, fill in the required information, agree to the terms of service, and click Register.

  1. You will receive an email from Elsevier to confirm your account setup. Follow their directions to log in to your account.
  2. Subsequently, use the Login link in the top right corner of Embase.

Saving searches in Embase

  1. Click on the Embase link at the top of this page to access Embase and authenticate as a KUMC affiliate.
  2. Click the Login link in the top right corner of Embase and construct your search as desired.

  1. From the search results screen select your search in the search history menu and then click Save Search.

  1. Create an optional name for this search.

  1. To view your saved searches in the future, click My Tools and then Saved Searches.
